We start with the collection, the purpose and who it's for. Then we agree how much material is included, the format and what a finished result should look like.
For a book, that includes agreeing the selection approach, layout, captions and approval stages. We check image suitability, text and consistency before asking you to approve the final version for printing. Where a photograph is too small or unclear to reproduce well, we'll flag it rather than quietly hoping for the best.
Printing, scanning and delivery costs are separate from the project fee and agreed before spending. Physical photographs or specialist restoration needs are assessed separately at the outset.

Can you organise photos without making a book?
Yes. A useful, organised collection can be the finished project. We agree the folder structure, naming and any duplicate-review work before starting.
Will you delete my originals?
We agree how originals, working copies and backups will be handled before work begins. Nothing is deleted without agreed instructions.
Can it be a surprise gift?
Yes. Tell us the occasion and deadline. We'll agree a realistic plan, including time for your approval, printing and delivery.
Will you share the finished book publicly?
Only with your explicit permission. Family photographs, private homes and the stories behind them are handled discreetly.
